Mrs. ROSE IDELLA ALEXANDER NIKIRK, 73, of 119 W. Fifth St., died Thursday morning, March 7, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown. Her husband, G. Travis Nikirk, predeceased her in in April 1957. Born May 5, 1911 at Middleburg, Mrs. Nikirk was a daughter of the late John Victor and Rose Idella Toms Alexander.

She reitred in 1971 from Hendrickson's department store in downtown Frederick. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick.

Surviving are four sons, Glen L. Nikirk of Thurmond, Travis F. Nikirk and Ronald D. Nikirk, both of Frederick; and Welty E. Nikirk, Laurel; daughter, Mrs. Shirley A. Rippeon, Frederick; sister, Mrs. Thomas (Bertha) Mohler, Frederick; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Private services were held at a time convenient to the family; interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
