Harold served as a Second Lieutenant on B-24H "Rackem Back" #41-29525, 706th Bomber Squadron, 446th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Queens County, New York prior to the war.

Harold grew up in Brooklyn, went to Abraham Lincoln High School, the Brooklyn College, where he was presidet of the student government association before he enlisted.

Harold was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 crashed, after returning from a bombing mission, in Bungay, England during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
