Born to Harriet and Andrew Walsh, Ralph worked hard all of his life starting at age 12, where he demonstrated a work ethic well beyond his years as he worked as a farmhand for his Grandma. After serving in the U. S. Navy from 1948 to 1952, Ralph made his way to Chicago, where he met and married Ruth in 1956. They soon after moved to Colorado where they raised their children, first in Commerce City, then in the home they shared for 39 years in Arvada. He proudly worked as bus driver for RTD for 31 years. Outside of work, he and Ruth shared trips to Alaska, Canada, the Panama Canal, Europe and China. He also loved playing cards around the kitchen table and especially spending time with family and friends. His home was always open to family members who needed a place to stay-whether it be for days, weeks, months, or years, and he never uttered a complaint or turned anyone away. He would lend a hand to anyone who needed help whether it was shoveling snow, chopping wood, moving furniture, you could always count on Ralph to help. Preceding included brothers Bob, Jerry, Kenny and Roger. Survivors included: siblings Vernon, Darrel, Marvin, and Wanda; his beloved wife of 59 years Ruth; children Greg (Irma), Kim (Paul), and Jeff (Kim); and 25 grandchildren. Funeral Services held Dec. 28 at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Parish in Arvada.
