Delores Jacqueline "Jacqui" Barris Moon

Passed away in Cypress, Texas, Christmas Eve, December 24, 2015, with her family by her side. Jacqui was born March 16, 1928, in East Liverpool, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Husband Reagan Sr., mother Mary McCue, father William Willis Barris, step father Mac McCue, half-sisters Dorothy Watson and Betty DeFrank, son-in-law Garry Nolte, and numerous other in-laws, cousins, aunts & uncles. Mrs. Moon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Reagan E. and Janet Moon of Bossier City, La., daughter Sheryl Moon Nolte of Cypress, Tx., grandchildren Shelby Nolte Trimble & husband Bradley, David Moon & wife Nona, Robert Moon and long time steady girlfriend Brandi Peace, along with six great grandchildren, Aidan, twins Madelyn & Taylor Trimble, Joel, Louden, and Hazel Moon, just born 12/26/15, (Taylor and Hazel honored their great grandmother with her middle name of Jacqueline as their middle names), sister-in-law Mary Mitchel, and many cousins, nieces & nephews. Jacqui honorably served her country in the United States Air Force for three years from early 1949 thru late1951 attaining the rank of Sgt. She served as a weather forecaster in Germany and participated in the Berlin Airlift. While there she met her future husband Reagan, who also served in the USAF and continued on for a 20 year career. Together they had a wonderful and exciting life raising their children and living throughout the world and USA while in the military and finally settling down in Garland, Texas. In later years, she and Reagan moved to their four acre dream home in the country near Royce City, TX. Jacqui finally moved one last time to Cypress, Texas after the death of her beloved husband to be near her daughter Sheryl who lovingly and devotedly became her caregiver while going through several health issues.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation from ________________ at Gonzalez (formally Anderson-Clayton Bros.) Funeral Home in Mesquite, Texas. Funeral services for Mrs. Moon will be at ____________________ in the Memorial Chapel at the Funeral Home with Minister James Winniford officiating. Pall-bearers will be her son Reagan E., grandsons David and Robert Moon, Grandson-in-law Bradley Trimble, and nephews John Byrd, Don Mitchell, Roy Moon, and longtime family friend Richard Willis. Interment will follow at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery with full military honors. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, the people at Heart to Heart Hospice and the staff & residents of Parsons House senior assisted living home for the loving care, friendship, and assistance they gave Jacqui in her final month of life. Also thank you to the many friends who are here for us at this very difficult time. Our Mother, Grandmother Great Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, and friend will be greatly missed by all. She fought the good fight with her illness to the very end, and now is finally and wonderfully, back for eternity with her beloved husband Reagan.
