Joyce Joan Swinford, 74, of Center, MO, formerly of Burlington Junction, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2015, at Kindred Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Joyce was born near Corning, MO, on December 22, 1941, to Raymond and Margaret Olive (Wyatt) Edwards. She was a graduate of Craig High School in Craig, MO. She worked as a cook for several years with the West Nodaway School District in Burlington Junction. She attended the Sharps Grove United Methodist Church, Craig, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alfred and Duane Edwards, and sisters, Wanita Quimby and Norma Edwards.

Survivors include her daughter, Norma (Rob) Bragg, Elmo, MO; sons, Larry Eugene Swinford, Jr., Center, MO, and Blaine Swinford, MO; six grandchildren, Brandon Swinford, Washington State, Isaiah (Lindsey) Bragg, Blue Springs, MO, Jeremiah and Ethan Bragg, Carrollton, MO, Jedidiah Bragg, and Abby Bragg, both of Elmo, MO; 3 great grandchildren, Joseph Bragg, Alexa and Landon Bragg.

She is also survived by her companion, Harold Baker, Center, MO; sister Doris Twyman, Craig, MO, brother, Jim (Norma) Edwards, Savannah, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. The burial will follow in the Tharp Cemetery, Craig, MO.
