ALLEN – Chester Lawrence, 71, of West Point passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at his home. He was born December 18, 1938 to the late Joseph Albert & Ida Mae Allen in Andyville, Kentucky. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Louisville Water Company for 31 years. He enjoyed going to his McDonalds Breakfast Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Marcy DeCamillis Hagan Allen; children, Jeannie Campbell, Greg Allen (Natalia), Johnny Allen, Becky Goatley (Glen), Amy Whitlow (Richard); step-children, Kenny Hagan and Terence Hagan (Jennifer); grandchildren, Bobby, Steve, Danny, Josh, Cody, Chancey, Matthew, Rebekah and Emily; great-grandchild, Christian; and brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Mahoney, Wanda Branson (Connie), Jimmy Allen, Mary Cain, Louis Allen (Faye), Nellie Warren and Raymond Allen. A special thanks to the Physicians of Norton Hospital, Hosparus and Amedisys. A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 - 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses. The family also requests no flowers.
