Gilbert Joseph Leger, Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
Gilbert was sole owner of Leger's Plumbing for over 38 years.
He is survived by his sons, Gilbert Earl Leger and wife, Megan of Lake Charles and Chester Citizen of Lafayette; daughters, Mary Stevens of Lake Charles, Jeanne Kessler and husband, Douglas of Plantersville, TX, Regina Thomas and husband, Ray and Angela Pitre all of Lake Charles; brothers, Lerlin Leger and wife, Mary Lee of Lake Charles and Clarence Leger and wife, Orelia of Church Point; sisters, Mary Ann Dantley and husband, Joseph of Lake Charles, Wilda Citizen of Church Point and Georgianna Wilson of Ville Platte; grandchildren, Ashley Armelin, Ray Thomas, Crystal Pitre, Ryan Thomas, Megan Pitre, Alyssa Stevens and Reginald "Reggie" Thomas; and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Katherine Gibson Leger; his parents, Gilbert and Mary B. Leger; brother, Wilford Leger; sisters, Mary Carrier and Gracie Mae Garrick; grandchildren, Tamica Duplechain, Stephen Duplechain, Amber Kay Duplechain and Keith Marthel Stevens, Jr.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 8am-10am with a Cursillo Rosary at 9am at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30am on Saturday at St. Henry Catholic church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
