NORMA S. HENSCHEL
(1919 - 2012)

Norma S. Henschel, 92, a Village of Cleveland resident, died Tuesday morning January 24, 2012 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

She is the former Norma Oehldrich, born June 23, 1919 in the Town of Centerville, daughter of the late Ervin Sr. & Marie (Neuhaus) Oehldrich. On May 28, 1938 she married Harvey Henschel at St. John/ St. Peter Church in Cleveland. The couple farmed in the Town of Meeme on the Henschel Homestead retiring in 1978 when they moved to Cleveland. Harvey preceded her in death on November 13, 2006. Norma was an active member of St. James UCC, Spring Valley where she also served with the Ladies Aid. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, she also liked to play cards, bake and tend to her flower gardens.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice (William) Brass, Sheboygan; two sons, Ronald (Jackie) Henschel, Cleveland, Gerald (Kathy) Henschel, Kiel; thirteen grandchildren, Laurie Sixel & friend Scott Smith, Kevin (Tammy) Henschel, Brian (Wendy) Henschel, Steven Henschel, Todd (Lori) Henschel, Wendy (Jeff) Meyer, Jamie (Heather) Henschel, Jody (Todd) Binversie, Kerri (Steve) DeTroye, Mark (CJ) Brass, Heidi (Robert) Ridge, Sara (Tim) Feldmann, Mike Brass. Seventeen great grandchildren, Jessica Sixel, Justin, Joshua & Jacob Henschel, Morgan & Amanda Henschel, Marissa & Jonathan Meyer, Courtney, Ryan & Emily Binversie, Cody Braun, Ellen May & Timothy John DeTroye, Logan Brass, Savanna Ridge and Jack Henschel. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Ralph Koepke.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, a great grandson, Brandon Henschel; 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday January 28, 2012 at St. James UCC, Spring Valley with the Rev. William Kesting officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A memorial has been established in Norma's name for St. James UCC.

Norma's family would also like to give a very special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care shown to them and Norma.
