Billy Ray Wells age 77 of Bowling Green, died Thursday at 1:20 pm at his residence. He was born in Butler Butler County to the late Orville and Lillie Mae Smith Wells. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Carl, Bobby, and Wayne Wells. He was a self employed Auto Mecanic. He was raised a Baptist. He was an avid Fisherman. He loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Sue Kitchens Wells of Bowling Green. his daughter Patty Hollars and husband John of Scottsville, sons, Ricky Wells and wife Penny, Randy Wells , David Wells and Missy and Jimmy Dale Wells and Hannah Atkinson all of Bowling Green. 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Sister, Glenda Rigsby Bailey and brother Vernon Wells both of Bowling Green. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral will be at 1:00 pm Monday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow in the Old Log Church Cemetery(oak forest Baptist Church) at Riverside.
