Beverly Jean Dean, 74, of Franklin, born October 30,1941, left this world on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 6:22 a.m. in Indianapolis.

Beverly left her imprint on everyone she met, from her family to her friends. Beverly, also known as Grandma Clown, made it her mission to make everyone smile. She was an eternal “child at heart”, which made an impact on the lives of all of her grandchildren. So many memories of Beverly involve laughter and shenanigans.

Left behind to carry on Beverly’s legacy are her five children; Lynette, Denise, Steve (Amy) Michelle (Rick) and Ginger. Beverly’s grandchildren were her life. They are what made her fight so long for each day. They are listed in no particular order, as they all were her favorite,Torrey (Hannah), Justin (Ashley), David (Jacquie), Kyle, Preston, Alex (Raquel), Kevin, Jessica, Cilla, Carter, Jake, Cassidy, Brandon, Kasey, Caitlyn, Jordan, and Brianna.

Her great-grandchildren filled her days with laughter. Each one of them will continue to honor her memory, by telling the future generations all of her stories. They are, Mya, Skylar, Mason, Zoe, Conner, Braelyn, Maddi, Tayven, Delayne, Trenton, Jay and Izzy.

Beverly leaves behind a brother and sister, Jimmy and Madeline (Dennis), so many cousins and friends that her story will continue forever.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Beverly Dean, and her older brother Howard. Beverly was a lover of animals and over the years, she had a constant companion at her side. Her beloved Jake, Pumpkin and Penny have preceded her in death as well. She leaves behind her faithful sidekicks Bailey and Keeley.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 28, 2015 at Jessen Funeral Home, Franklin Chapel, 197 E. Jefferson St.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Beverly’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis hospital in Indianapolis for their exemplary care they provided to her in her last days and hours. With a special recognition to Tim in the Bone Marrow and Transplant Unit and Sara & Michelle in the Medical Oncology Unit. They treated her with dignity and respect until the last moment.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter or humane society as this will continue Beverly’s legacy of love.
