A community and family memorial service will be held for Mrs. Bertha (Bonnie) Huber Lowenbergh, 84, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, at The Bethel United Church of Christ, 1-1/2 mile northwest of Ada. Pastor Melinda Feller will be in charge.
Mrs. Lowenbergh was born to Oscar and Mary Neuhaus Huber on September 21, 1907 at Sherwood, Ohio. While still a child in Wisconsin where they established their home and homestead near their beloved family Bethel Reformed Church in the Ada community.
She remained in the home area until she married her husband Frank on May 7, 1935. their son, John Mark, was born on January 18, 1942 at Plymouth Hospital.
After a very long illness, Mrs. Lowenbergh died peacefully on Tuesday morning, August 4, 1992, at The Elms Nursing Home, Wellington, Ohio. Her body was given to the Medical College of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, for medical study and research. Eventual interment of her cremated remains will be made with graveside services in the family plot in Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband Frank of over 57 years, their son Dr. John Mark, his wife Nancy Ellen, their daughter Cara Ann all of Ann Arbor, Michigan, her brothers Calvin of Chilton, Elmer of Sheboygan, Martin of Ada, and sisters Anna Neuhaus of Sheboygan, Selma Terry of Sheboygan Falls, Martha Marx and Hilda Kraemer, both of Ada. Her brother Ernest preceded her in death on February 15, 1991.
