Son of Catherine and James. Born in Colchester. He attended Bacon Academy of Colchester and Entered the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore MD graduating in 1901 President of his class. From there he went to Mercy Hospital in Baltimore and took a special course in the Lying-In Hospital of that city. Licenses CT, 1902. Type Practice Allopath. He became a resident of Bridgeport and had a practice there for 14 years, currently resided at 529 East Main Street. He was Police Surgeon, was connected to St Vincents Hospital and had his own practice. In Jan 1915 he was married to Miss Anna Sadler and with her had a daughter Alice born Jan 1916. Brother Rev Timothy E. Sullivan of Chester. (Who was at his bedside when he died) A devout Catholic family, 2 first cousins also entered the priesthood, Rev Eugene Sullivan and Rev Michael Sullivan. Dr Sullivan died at 11:15 am at St Vincents Hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday. He was critical for several days. He had been ill for several months with enlargement of the Spleen. Cause of Death Hodgkin's disease. Aged 42 years 11 months 22 days. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by his mother and sisters Mrs Mrs John Condren, Miss Julia Sullivan and Miss Mary B. Sullivan and brothers Rev Sullivan Pastor of St Joseph Church in Chester and Patrick J. Sullivan of MA.
