Florence Naomi Jamison was the seventh of seven children born to Benjamin Franklin and Margaret Jane (Campbell) Jamison on 5 Jan 1897 in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, and died on 13 Mar 1972 in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida, at the age of 75. She married James Arthur McGaughey about 1920 and together they had one child: James Arthur, Jr.

The following obituary appeared in The Indiana Gazette, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, March 16, 1972, Thursday, page 32:

"Mrs. Florence Jamison McGaughey of Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday, March 14, 1972, at Bradenton.

A daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Campbell Jamison, she was born Jan. 5, 1897, in Punxsutawney.

Mrs. McGaughey was formerly of Indiana and Homer City before going to Florida in 1964.

She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Indiana.

Surviving are a son, James A. McGaughey Jr., Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters; Mrs. Myrtle Simpson, Indiana; and Mrs. Pearl Miller, Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Arthur McGaughey in 1954.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Frank A. Kantz will officiate and interment will be made in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana."
