Oscar Lenford Hodges, 90 of Rocky Mount died December 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Doctor Peter and Sallie Hunt Hodges; brothers, Raymond, George, James and Edgar; sister, Clarice; granddaughter, Jaquetta Young Walker. He was retired from Stanley Furniture and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Sallie Kate Hodges; children, Sally Dematrice James, Bonnie Young, Elizabeth Ann Hodges, Oscar Wayne Hodges; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Franklin Memorial Park.
