Brenda Sentz Little, 71, resident of Candler, a suburb of Asheville, passed away Monday night following a lingering illness.

Born in Dearborn, Michigan, she had been a long time resident of Kinston, N.C. where she graduated from Grainger High School, and served for more than thirty years with the Lenoir County Department of Social Services. While in Kinston, she worshipped at Queen Street United Methodist Church.

She, then, relocated to the Asheville area and was employed for twelve years with the State Employees Credit Union. She was a member of the Piney Mountain United Methodist Church and the Upper Hominy Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department Auxiliary.

Graveside services will be Saturday, December 26, at 11 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Highway 70 West, Kinston, N.C. The family will greet friends at the cemetery after the service.

Brenda is survived by her life partner, Reginald "Reggie" Lee of Candler; her sister, Nanette Sentz-Foy and husband, Jeff Foy of Mount Olive; a nephew, Cody Foy and three nieces, Victoria, Nanette, and ChrisAnn Foy, all of Mount Olive; two step-daughters, Sandra Lee Price and husband, Lamont, and their son, Christopher, all of Clayton, and Sheena Lee of Dallas, Texas; and her beloved kitty, "Butterbean."

She was preceded in death by her son in 1988, James Gregory Little; and her parents, John Henry Sentz and Nancy Gentry Sentz Wade.
