Mr. Sims was born March 23, 1924 in rural near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to George Tyler and Emily Jane (Farmer) Sims.
He and Laura Lee Garner were married in 1953 and blessed with two sons. He worked mostly as a Farmer. Later he worked at Pauls Valley Schools in Maintenance until his retirement after 10 years of service. The Pauls Valley area has been his home all of his life.
Jack loved to go coon hunting and to hunt for arrowheads.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Tyler and Emily Jane Sims; one son, Johnny Ray Sims; and 6 brothers and sisters.
Surviving family include his wife of nearly 63 years, Laura Lee Sims of the home; their son, Jack Farmer Sims, Jr. and his wife, Laura Denise Sims of Wynnewood; 9 grandchildren, Jeff, Amanda, J. C., Jill, April, Hunter, Brandi, Kyle and Aaron; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
