GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Nannette Buffington Thompson, 80, loving wife of the late Evans Thompson, entered into rest Friday, April 1, 2005, at University Hospital, Augusta. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Gibson City Cemetery with Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Mrs. Thompson was a native of Hall County, but lived in Glascock County most of her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Hall County. She worked at Stapleton Garment Company for 30 years, she was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by one son, Charles E. (Janice) Thompson of Evans; two daughters, Sonya T. (Lynn) Davis of Wrens and Teresa T. (Buford) Irby of Avera; seven grandchildren, Robert and Michael Thompson, Russell and Mark Davis, Carla, Jason and Jonathon Irby; six great-grandchildren, Emily and Katie Thompson, Chelsea and Alayna Davis and Evan Danforth and Brinley Irby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Ella Buffington; three sisters, Thelma Johnson, Wilma Kitchens and Sara Buffington and one brother, Hugh Buffington. Pallbearers are Robert Thompson, Michael Thompson, Mark Davis, Jason Irby, Jonathan Irby, Bennett Williams and Darren Epps.
