Maurice Henry, age 78 of Ross Township, passed away at his residence on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:43 AM after a long battle with lung disease. He was born in Middletown on November 2, 1937 the son of Ollie and Mary (Spaulding) Henry. Maurice was employed as a foreman at Armco Steel more than thirty years of service, retiring in 2000. On June 22, 1977 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee he married Mary Spradling. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #36 and Eagles Lodge #407.
He is survived by his wife of thirty eight years, Mary Henry of Ross Township; four daughters, Daphne (Gary Michael) Taylor of West Chester, Rhonda Courtney of Hamilton, Darlene (Gary) Blower of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and his baby girl, Melissa (Vin) Streeval of Oxford; his sister, Dorothy Rawlins of Monroe; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tammy Cheek; siblings, Ollie Henry, Jr. and Patsy Fugate; and his granddaughter, Erica Welsh.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Chaplain Maurice Pugh of Hospice of Cincinnati officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
