Ida Lee was born to Edward and Olie Dool. She was vice president of Woods Manufacturing in Waco for 20 years. She moved to Amarillo in 1982 after retiring from Woods. Mrs. Payne has been a volunteer for Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital for 20 years, having worked in the gift shop.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbamd, John, who passed away in 1970; her brothers, F.W. and Raymond Dool; and her sister, Gertrude Dool.

Survivors include niece, Faye Dell Monroe, of Amarillo; great-nephew, Cameron Monroe and wife, Patty, of Amarillo; and great-great-nephews, Matt and Josh Monroe, of Amarillo.
