Ruth leaves behind a son, Harold Keith of Bowie, Maryland, a daughter Susanne Marie (Uno) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, a son Kevin Michael of Centennial, Colorado, a son, James Patrick of Ft. Collins, Colorado, a loving extended family and dear friends and neighbors.
Ruth graduated from University of Oklahoma with a Master's Degree from University of Maryland. She served as mother, high school guidance counselor, and Job Service Counselor for the State of Colorado.
Ruth was an active genealogist and parliamentarian in local, state and national chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Genealogical Society, National Association of Parliamentarians and much more. She loved and was active at her Church at Woodmoor and volunteered many hours there and at the Family History Center in Colorado Springs where she mentored and helped so many to establish their family heritage. She earned her private pilot's license and with her husband, flew their plane throughout the United States to conferences and research trips. She enjoyed international travel with her daughter and cruising with a dear friend.
A memorial service and celebration of Ruth Christian's life will be held January 9th at 11:00am at Church at Woodmoor with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to National Stroke Association, Church at Woodmoor, or other favorite causes.
