He served his country in the US Army and retired as a Colonel.
He is survived by one daughter, three sons and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hilliard and Nellie Louise (Cochran) Edwards and daughter Soraya Edwards.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Shelter Free Will Baptist Church.
