Funeral services for Roy French “Harp” Harper, age 81 of Petersburg, will be conducted Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 1 PM at Medium United Methodist Church with Bro. Tony Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery. Mr. Harper passed away Sunday December 20, 2015 at his residence.
A native of Benbush, WV, he was the son of the late Dayton Roy and Nolla Gladys Davis Harper. Mr. Harper was chief warrant officer with the Maryland National Guard and a member of the Medium United Methodist Church.
In addition of his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Audrey Ramsey and Vivian Alkire.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening December 22, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
