She married Paul Day in Wichita in 1969. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then to Montgomery, Texas, where they made their home for ten years. After Paul passed away in 2012, she returned to Wichita to be with her family.
She is survived by two sisters: Nancy Addis and husband Dave, Kathy Henry and husband Mark; one brother: Con Smith III; five nieces and numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
