Ray E. Bledsoe, 86, Dearborn, MO passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, in Liberty, MO. A visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Vaughn-Aufranc Funeral Home in Dearborn. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Dearborn Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be given to Dearborn Cemetery Association. Ray was born December 27, 1928 in Dearborn, MO to Bill Ed and Mary Melvina (Hughes) Bledsoe. He attended Dearborn Jr/Sr high school. Ray joined the US Army in 1948 and served his country during WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dearborn, and a lifelong resident of the Dearborn area. Ray was a laborer for the City of Dearborn and worked for area farmers. He enjoyed country music, playing the guitar, walking, growing his tomatoes, chocolate and always had candy on hand for the children that stopped by. Ray was preceded in death by: his parents; and his siblings; Helen Stagner, W.A. Bledsoe, Emily Allnutt, Roy Bledsoe and Shirley Slayden. He is survived by: his nieces; Nina Redecker, Patty Propheter, Mary Pendleton, and Helen Kiliby. His nephews; Doyle Slayden Jr, Darrel Bledsoe, Donald Allnutt, Eldon “Sonny” Allnutt and numerous Great grandnieces and Great grandnephews, cousins and friends.
