HARRIMAN, Patricia Lee (Age 74) Of Spokane Valley died March 29 at her home. Patricia was born October 17, 1935 in Sterling, Illinois. She was an active member of her community and volunteered with the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office, the Housing & Development Advisory Board, and Spokane Police Citizens' Academy. Her generous heart led her to support many local and international charities. Her passion for animals gave many cats and dogs a second chance at life. To Patricia, family was always the most important part of her life and she cherished her husband, children and grandchildren. As her children grew older, Patricia returned to school and earned her nursing degree. After retiring, she and Stan enjoyed traveling and cheering on the Spokane Chiefs. Patricia is survived by her husband, Stan, of 54 years, two daughters, two son-in-law, son, daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren [survivors names omitted]. Patricia was preceded in death by her son James Harriman. A funeral mass will be held for Patricia on April 5, 6:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 304 S Adams Road, Spokane Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Spokanimal, 710 N Napa Street, Spokane, WA 99202 or Horizon Hospice 123 W Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208.--Spokesman-Review, April 1, 2010
