Age 86, of Lost Tree Village, North Palm Beach, passed away Monday morning April 10, 1995 at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Hackett was born April 13, 1908 in Kensington Park, London, England, son of the late Horace M. Hackett and Mabel Burgess. Mr. Hackett had been a resident of the Palm Beaches since the late fifties coming from Miami Beach, Florida and was a former resident of New York City and Long Island. He was a retired Executive in the Advertising Field. He was a member of the Lost Tree Village Golf Club, The Old Port Cove Yacht and Club, Sailfish Club and other various organizations. He was preceded in death by his wife Carlotta F. Hackett on July 4, 1987.
Surviving are his devoted son, James K. Hackett of Carmel, N.Y.; his sister, Ms. Alberta Hackett of Salina Beach, Calif.; his devoted friend and companion, Janis W. Burke of North Palm Beach. His two grandchildren, Alexandra Calestri, Glen Cove, L.I. N.Y., Dennis Hackett, Ft. Wayne, Ind. and five great-children also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 1995 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Greenwood Ave., West Palm Beach with Dr. Herman J. Ridder, Chaplain of Lost Tree Village Chapel, officiating.
