Deborah "Debbie" Ann Whitford, of Tawas City, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Saginaw St. Mary’s Medical Center, age 59 years.

She was born to Clarence and Ellen (Farison) Brown on September 24, 1956 in Clare, Michigan.

Debbie graduated from Meridian High School. She worked 18 years for the Iosco County News Herald and the Oscoda Press as an Advertisement Sales Representative. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Keeping in touch with friends and family through Facebook was one of her favorite things to do! Debbie also enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband and being a regular at watching Reality TV. She was a member of the West Branch Harley Owners Group where she had so many friends.

Debbie married her husband and best friend, Richard A. Whitford on October 30, 2014. Richard and Debbie were the best of friends for quite a few years before they officially married, and together they made so many fun memories and had opportunities to travel to see beautiful country side on their Harley. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Richard Whitford of Tawas City; her 2 sons, Coury (Zoe) Coates of Portland, Oregon, and Troy Lang of Lebanon, Tennessee; 1 granddaughter whom she absolutely adored, Eliot Coates, 1 brother, Bruce Maxwell of Midland; 1 sister, Vickie Maxwell of Sanford; 1 niece, Candie (Jed) Allen of Sheffield, Iowa; 1 nephew, Dylan Maxwell of Sheffield, Iowa, 3 grand-nephews: Cyrus, Clyde, and Colby Allen of Sheffield, Iowa, mother and father in law, Gary and Dolores Whitford of Tawas City; 2 brothers in law, Tom Whitford and Dan (Patti) Whitford all of South Carolina; and many dear friends.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ellen Brown, and 1 brother, Terry Maxwell.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will welcome friends at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM for a time of gathering and fellowship.
