Amy Dawn Williams Lane, 31, a loving mother and wife, passed away on September 2, 2006 along with her husband, Justin Rutherford Lane as a result of a boating accident on Lake Texoma.
Amy's sense of adventure and zest for life was admired by many. The couple resided in Little Elm, Texas. Amy was born July 29, 1975 to Aleida Schijf of Buda, Texas and Christopher Williams of Mount Pleasant, Texas. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her son Sebastian Drake Williams, 7 and daughter Kaci Elizabeth Lane, 1 of Little Elm, Texas. Amy is also survived by a stepmother Sherry Williams of Mount Pleasant, maternal grandfather Michael Schijf of Uden, Holland, paternal grandparents Robert and Jerry Williams of Tyler, Texas and grandmother Alyce C. Williams of Winston, Missouri and many aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Marie Schijf. Amy was close to the Mineo family for over 15 years and they consider her as a part of their family. Amy and her family attended Fellowship Bible Church in Plano. Following a private burial, a memorial service for Amy and her husband Justin will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2006 in Ellis Chapel of Park Cities Baptist Church. The family will receive guests during a reception immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, A Wish for Wings, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary-Division X, Dallas, who help save many lives on North Texas area lakes.
