Elwood Alexander Fagan was a veteran of World War One.
He enlisted in the 157th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, on 11 February 1916 at Midland, Ontario. He was in England on 28 October 1916 then served with the 116th Battalion Canadian Infantry in France from 11 February 1917 until August 1918.
He was twice wounded, from a machine gun bullet in 1917 and then a facial wound in 1918.
He was invalided to England in August 1918 and discharged from service in January 1919.
