Theresa Anne “Tree” Roberts – a long resident of Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her home. She was 46 years old.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 23, 2015, at 12:00 Noon at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton Chapel. Theresa loved Ashley Jones’ music, so in memory of Theresa, Ashley will perform a song at the service. Following the service there will be a gathering and send-off toast to Theresa at The Rainbow Café. Contributions in memory of Theresa may be made to Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter (PAWS) and sent in care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, PO Box 489, Pendleton, OR 97801. Theresa was born July 30, 1969, to Roland E. and Rose (Friedly) Roberts in Pendleton, Oregon, where she was raised and attended schools. Her uncle Curtis Phillips was a very important father figure in her life. She worked in customer service and sales for J.C. Penny’s, Albertson’s, Baxter’s Auto and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Pendleton, and Ron Tonkin in Portland. She had also lived in Portland, Klamath Falls and Roseburg, Oregon and Sunnyvale, California. She had received several Sales and Customer Service awards over the years. Theresa had a love for animals and children. She was a proud mother of Tyler Arroyo, and was also very proud of her nieces and nephew; Jennifer, Mitchell and Kimberly Denton. Her great-niece Emma brought her much joy as well. Over the years Theresa had many animals, her two cats Gina & Bobbie, were her babies. She was very kind-hearted, she often would make various baked goods and take them to others, just to do it. She loved to make others happy and she loved to laugh. She also loved dancing. She ADORED the artist Prince, and anything purple.

She is survived by her son Tyler Arroyo of Arizona, her mother Rose Felton & husband Wiley of Arizona, sisters Shannon Roberts and Kelli Phillips of Pendleton, nieces Jennifer Denton of Lewiston, ID, and Kimberly Denton of Pendleton, and nephew Mitchell Denton & wife Teela Denton of Pendleton, OR, her great-niece Emma, as well as her beloved cats Gina & Bobbie, as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Roland Roberts, grandparents Gale & Helen Friedly and Ernest & Mary Roberts and a daughter, Marisol Arroyo.
