Ms. Marguerite Gale Foster, 61, of Gettysburg, PA, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Gettysburg Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. Born May 8, 1954 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Olive Jeannette Patrick Dodson, near Johnsville and the late Harold Lee Dodson. Ms. Foster enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter, Kimberly Peterson and husband Eric of Hanover, PA; son, Christopher Foster and companion Stephanie Rye of Gettysburg; 5 grandchildren, Trinity, Matthew, Courtney, Connor and Colby; 2 sisters, Holly Griffin of Crofton and Dawn Topper of Alexandria, VA and brother, Harold "Hal" Dodson, near Johnsville. She will be also be fondly remembered by her companion, Gerald Davis. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, with Rev. Jade Rogers, pastor of Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
