Funeral services for Francis “Jim” Anson, 91, and Felicia A. (Crouse) Anson, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. They were married for more than 66 years and passed away within a short time of one another this week. Mr. Anson died at their residence in Clarksville and Mrs. Anson died Friday morning at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Jim was born in Youngstown, Ohio and was retired as the principal of Lillian Emery Elementary School in New Albany. He was a member of the Buckner Lodge #631 F&AM, the Kiwanis Club of New Albany, the Indiana Retired Teachers Association Southeast and the Indiana State Teachers Association. He was a Navy veteran of WW II having served proudly aboard the USS Lackawanna.

Felicia was born in Clark County and was retired from the NAFC School Corporation Administration Building. She was a member of the NAFC Schools Faculty Wives and the Rebekah Lodge #1 in New Albany.

They were both longtime members of Trinity UMC in New Albany where the funeral service will be held to honor both of their lives together.

Survivors include their daughters, Beverly Woodruff (Wayne), New Albany, and Cathy Marking (Chuck), Floyds Knobs; sisters-in-law, Jeannine Anson and LaDanna Crouse; grandchildren, Erica Deweese (Shawn), Emily McCaffery (Sean), Sam and Andrew Marking; great-grandchildren, Landon, Brynna, Keegan Deweese and one on the way; nieces and nephews.

They were preceded in death by their parents; brothers; and sisters.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
