Salt Lake City, Utah-Patty passed on December 11 at the age of 80. She was born on May 13, 1935 in Roundup, Montana to Fred and Jenny Lind. She graduated from Roundup High in 1953. Patty attended Montana State College in Bozeman, Montana where she met her husband Stanley Owen DeVore and they married in 1956. She graduated in 1957 with a bachelor's of science in Elementary Education. After Stan graduated in 1959 they moved to Salt Lake where he began a long career at Hercules. With Stan's career, they and their children lived in Florida, New York and Maryland eventually transferring back to Salt Lake for good. Stan died in 1978. Patty taught first grade for 30 years in Granite District and retired in 1996. After retiring she kept up with her many activities. She was an avid bowler, bridge player and world traveler. She traveled with the family to Europe, Asia, Africa, Pacific Islands and all over this wonderful country. She spent many years researching her family genealogy and was active in AAUW and the Methodist women's groups. Patty really loved her garden. From the spring blooming of tulips and daffodils to the twin flowering crab apples out her back windows to the fall chrysanthemums it was always a show in her yard. She will be missed. Survived by children Jeff (Diane) and Jennifer (Ken) Krell. Grandchildren by age Christian (Dagny), Alex, Dalton, Cassie and Lucas and 3 great grandchildren. Thank you to Canyon Creek. You have enriched our lives with your care and understanding. Funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday December 18, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church 2375 E. 3300 S. Reception to follow. Interment at Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please do something nice or donate to a charity of your choice . Be happy about Patty's life!
