Ben A. Browder, 81, Boozie Creek Road, Blountville Rt. 1, died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday at Holston Valley Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Scott County, Va., he had lived in Sullivan County since 1916. He had been a farmer most of his life, and he was a member of Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ocia Gosey Browder; nieces, Mrs. Della Pope, Rt. 1. Blountville, and Mrs. Fannie Baker, Rt. 4. Blountville; nephews, Alfred Browder of Rt. 2, Jonesboro; Marshall Browder, Rt. 4, Blountville; James Browder, Rt. 2, Bristol, Tenn.; John S. Browder, Blountville and Johnny C. Browder, Kingsport.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge.
