Archie Lee Jenkins, age 89, of Crossett, AR passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. He was born on October 2, 1926 in Crossett, to his parents, Jesse James and Mary Lou Pickle Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins retired as a machinist from Georgia Pacific Corporation. He liked fishing, duck hunting and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Jenkins attended Community Chapel Baptist Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arnold Jenkins and Cordell Jenkins and one sister, Ellie Dee Maxwell.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Verlee Rice Jenkins of Crossett, AR; two sons, Legett Jenkins of Crossett and Russell Jenkins (Judy) of Harrison, AR; one daughter, Candace Courson (Charlie) of Crossett, two sisters, Maycel Barnett (Charles) and Attie Ware (Enoch), all of Crossett, AR; seven grandchildren, Tammy Farmer (Brian), Gena Brown (Bruce), Rusty Courson (Shannon), Kelly Jenkins, Mickey Courson (Amy), Tiffany Teague (Joe), Mark Jenkins (Heather); twelve great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Beulahland Assembly of God Church with Bro. Mike Chain and Bro. Ricky Tyler officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00 at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers are Brian Farmer, Rusty Courson, Mickey Courson, Bruce Brown, Joe King, Mark Jenkins, Rob Moffatt and Drew Courson.
