Mrs. Carrie ‘Carolyn’ Hortense Cook, age 89, of Bonifay, Florida passed away December 9, 2015 at Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center in Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. She was born September 12, 1926 in Washington County Florida to the late Lanny and Amber Thompson Mercer.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, David Cook; a grandson, Jonathan Cook and two sisters, Helma Horton and Hazel Gilbert.
Mrs. Cook is survived by two sons, Wallace Cook and wife Linda of Gulf Port, MS and Terry Cook of Cumming, GA; three grandchildren, Rhonda Sullivan, Lorie Kinsey, Christopher Cook; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Rooks of Chipley, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. John Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Otis Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing.
