Lenora Nell Johnson Asper age 84 of Ivanhoe passed away Friday December 18, 2015 in Broadway NC.
She was born February 2, 1931 in Pender County daughter of the late Lenmore and Mary Bell Woodcock Johnson. She was also predeceased by her husband James Asper.
She is survived by her daughter Gloria Smith; one grandson, James White and wife Jamie; three great grandchildren, Noah McArthur, Matthew White and Alexandra White all of Broadway; one brother, Carl Lee Johnson of Burgaw; and a sister Eva Henderson of Hampstead.
Nell was a member of Rowan PFWB Church for many years, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Burgaw. Family was very important to her and she was a loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday December 20, 2015 at Harrell’s Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Merrell McKoy will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodcock Cemetery.
