EAST PROSPECT - George W. Dosch, 84, of East Prospect, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at York Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Rhoda W. (Emenheiser) Dosch, who died Jan. 22, 1989.
The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion United Methodist Church, 1 N. Main St., East Prospect. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with flag presentation by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dosch was born April 19, 1916, in East Prospect. He was the son of the late Harry C. and E. Pearl (Wallace) Dosch.
He was a truck driver for Atlantic Richfield in Mechanicsburg for 36 1/2 years; he was a member of American Legion Post 543 and Zion United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday school member and a former trustee.
Mr. Dosch is survived by a son, Wayne G. Dosch of East Prospect; a daughter, Lorie E. McGinnis of York; three grandchildren; two brothers, Erwin L. Dosch of Mount Wolf and C. Eugene Dosch of York; three sisters, Miriam R. Kauffman of East Prospect and Dorothy Koons and Treva R. Henny, both of York; and several nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Samuel Velez.
