Madeline was close to her older sister Esther, sharing many of the same friends and interests, and their families remained close. After graduating from Scranton Technical High School in 1934, Madeline worked at Consolidated Molded Products where her father was also employed. She enjoyed lakeside picnics and bowling in her spare time, and met Irv Miller at a bowling league about 1939-40.
After Madeline and Irv married in 1941 and started their family, Madeline played an active role in her community including her church, the Rebeka Lodge, and Welcome Wagon where she was a hostess.
Irv and Madeline had two daughters and, years later, two sons. Although Madeline saw her daughters marry, she died of a sudden heart attack at only fifty years of age, without knowing the future grandchildren or great-grandchildren in whom she would have taken such great delight.
