Lynn E. Bebermeyer was born on November 27, 1951 in Harper, Kansas to Harold “Bud” Edward and Evelyn Katherine (Meyer) Bebermeyer. Lynn was one of three boys and he also had three sisters. He went to school in the Harper area and graduated from Harper High School with the class of 1969.

Lynn joined the Air Force and then returned to Harper to be a farmer and an aerial cropduster. Lynn was not just a pilot, he was a master at the controls. He could do things with an airplane that blurred the line between insane and genius.

Lynn married Bobbi Forphal in 1974 and was blessed with his son, Jerod. They later divorced in 1977. Lynn married his wife, Tonia Ray on December 10, 1993 in Reno, Nevada and with this union he willingly, and without hesitation, opened his heart to include her children, Keith and Danielle.

On December 18, 2015, Lynn passed away in Cheney, Kansas at the age of 64 years and 21 days. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathy Bebermeyer; and his brother, Jeff Bebermeyer.

Lynn will be deeply missed by his wife, Tonia Bebermeyer of the home; son, Jerod Bebermeyer of Harper; stepson, Keith Kauffman and wife, Jami of Lyons, Colorado; stepdaughter, Danielle Klatt and husband, Justin of Cheney, Kansas; sisters: Ann Smarsh and husband, Tom of Carnation, Washington and Jane Seward and husband, Barney of Hutchinson, Kansas; brother, Dale Bebermeyer of Harper; grandchildren: Oakley, Trenton, Kinsleigh, Isabella, Jonas, Jesse, Maddox, and Colby; aunts: Hellen McGuire of Kingman, Kansas, Marilyn Downing of Anthony, Kansas, and Martha Furgeson of Wichita, Kansas; a host of other family members and many, many friends.

Graveside Service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Harper Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper.

Memorials may be given in memory of Lynn to the American Heart Association or Harry Hynes Hospice of Wichita and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
