Mrs. Maggie Hein, 81, resident of the vicinity of Manitowoc for many years, died at her home in Chicago Friday night following a brief illness, according to word received this morning by her niece, Mrs. James Kelley, 1705 Marshall street. Although details of Mrs. Hein’s death were not received here, it was known that she was injured in a fall at her home a few days ago. Because of her advanced age, it
was believed this hastened her death.
Maggie Wild, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Wild, was born in Germany. The family came to this country when the deceased was a young girl. They settled south of the city. About 55 years ago, Maggie Wild was married to Phillip Hein. The latter’s death occurred about 14 years ago. Mrs. Hein lived on the farm with a son Phillip, up to two years ago when she moved to Chicago to make her home with her sister.
Surviving relatives are four sons, Phillip and Matt, who reside near
this city, Peter of Evanston, Ill., John of Colorado, one daughter,
Elizabeth of Seattle, Wash., three sisters, Anna and Elizabeth Wild
and Mrs. Josephine Scherer of Chicago, and two brothers, Peter Wild
of Colorado and Matt Wild of Chicago. The body will arrive in this
city Sunday night and will be taken to the Pfeffer funeral parlors.
The funeral will be held at 9am Monday at St. Boniface church. Burial
will take place in St. Peter’s cemetery.
