Abram (Audie O) Gooding, brother to William Hobart Gooding, son of John Lynn and Frances (Fanna) (Dayton) Gooding, husband to Laura Elizabeth (Hendricks) Gooding, father of John Earl, Bernadine, and Harold Dayton, was a gentleman farmer who attended a Democratic National Committee meeting. He raised cattle, chickens, and other small livestock in addition to farming and he had an orchard. He built the second home on the property, and the first with indoor plumbing!
