Lewis C. Weller was the son of William Weller 1779-1839 and Margaret M. Baylor 1787-1854; they are buried in Ramsayburg Cemetery, Warren Co., NJ
Lewis Creveling Weller was born 15 Dec. 1821 in Knowlton Twp., Warren Co., NJ (it was then part of Sussex Co.) the 6th of the 7 children of William Weller and Margaret M. Baylor. He was a school teacher in PA in 1850, Forks Twp., Northampton Co., PA and also in 1860 in Knowlton Twp., Warren Co., NJ. By 1870 and 1880, he was a quarryman in a slate factory in Warren Co., NJ. He was elected auditor of Warren Co., NJ for 25 years in a row. He was also elected town clerk for about 7 years.
Obituary for Lewis C. Weller "Death Notices from the Washington Star" Assembled by the Warren Co. Historical Society, 7/26/1894, "Lewis C. Weller, father of Sheriff M. W. Weller, died at his home in Columbia on the 15 inst., aged 72 years. He held many positions in Knowlton township among which were the Offices of Assessor and Township Clerk. He was also Fish Warden for a time."

3- Michael William Weller born 12 July 1846 Northampton Co. PA died 225 Jan. 1933 Atlantic City NJ married Sarah Alice Shannon (she used her middle name Alice) in 1864 Northampton Co. PA; 3 children including Lillie Weller, Myrtie Weller and Lucy Jane Weller; their 4th child Mariah Weller died in infancy. He lived most of his life in Warren Co., NJ. His 2nd wife was Agnes Albert, 1 daughter Helen A. Weller. He was a manufacturer of school slates and slate roofing. He was elected Sheriff of Warren Co., NJ for two years. He is buried East Stroudsburg Cemetery, Monroe Co., PA, as were both of his wives.
4- Catharine A. Weller born 01 Oct. 1848 Northampton Co.PA married 25 Dec. 1972 William H. Schoch, Columbia, Warren Co., NJ died 20 Nov. 1919 Shiawassee Co. MI. She and her husband are buried there.
5-Samuel Lewis Weller born 02 Jan. 1851 Warren Co., NJ married Catherine Ann Raymond died 16 May 1901 buried Fairview Methodist Cemetery, Columbia, Warren Co., NJ
6-Susan Mariah Weller born 17 Dec. 1853 Knowlton, Warren Co., NJ (used her middle name Mariah) Died 11 Jan. 1919 East Stroudsburg Cemetery Monroe Co. PA. married Francis Cowell.
7-Sarah Jane Weller born 12 Oct. 1856 Knowlton, Warren Co., NJ, died at age 5 months old, 22 Jan. 1857
8-Edwin Creveling Weller born 29 March 1859 Warren Co., NJ married 28 Nov.1883 Sadie A. Schoch Pen Argyl, Northampton Co., PA. He died after 1940 in Flint Michigan.
