Bryan was a talented young man who died while running laps during basketball practice at Palmerton High School. He enjoyed sports and was on the baseball and basketball teams. He also enjoyed music and had a very creative mind.

He was survived by his mother, Eleanor Powell and sister, Diane Powell cousins Ben and Dan Williams in Wilmington, Delaware, as well as his classmates at Palmerton High.

Bryan Lee Powell, a 15-year-0ld candidate for the Palmerton High basketball team collapsed and died during a practice session at the high school gym Friday night.

Following 10 minutes of drills, Powell joined teammates in taking 18 laps around the court. He completed 10 laps and collapsed. Powell passed a physical examination Oct. 29.
