BIDDEFORD - Wiley J "Jud" Allen, 72, died Sunday at Southern Maine Medical Center. He was born in Alma, GA on May 5, 1934, a son of John Henry and Carrie E Young Allen. He was educated in Alma, GA schools and came to the local area in 1963. On July 22, 1972, he married Priscille R Boissonneault Bertrand in Biddeford. He worked at Bruce Shoe Company, Saco Tanning, Nike, Pratt and Whitney, Bob's Exon, Biddeford Textile Company and last worked for Biddeford Saco Shuttle Bus, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, guitar and banjo, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by: his wife of 33 years; one son, John J Allen and his wife, Heather of Biddeford; six daughters, Deborah Somers and her husband, Jim of Fort Pierce, FL, Donna Capp and her husband, David of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, Marjorie Hill of Margate, FL, Diane Bertrand of Waterville, Donna Perreault and her husband, Bernard of Biddeford and Susan Part of Brick, NJ; four brothers, Theman Allen and his wife, Bernadine of Saco, Fred Allen and his wife, Anita of Biddeford, Will Allen and his wife, Urvalla of Jacksonville, FL and Norman Allen of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Dottie Powell and her husband, Stanley of Florida, Janie Taylor of Alma, GA and Frances Allen of Old Orchard Beach; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
