David liked all kinds of sports. He enjoyed watching the Cubs, and was a big Notre Dame fan. He liked playing pool, bowling, playing cards and being outside, either walking or riding his bike. He was a 1973 graduate of Riley High School in South Bend, and was a member of Horizon Ministries in Bremen.
He is survived by 2 sons, Nathan R. Ewald and David C. Ewald, both of South Bend, 2 brothers, Daniel (Melody) Ewald, Leesburg, Michael Ewald, Marion, and a sister Linda Helenburg, South Bend. Also surviving are 3 nephews, Eric Ewald, Justin Duvall, Jason Ewald and 4 nieces, Christine Duvall, Lynn Schleeter, Cassandra Ewald, and Jessica Duvall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kimberley M. Ewald.
Services will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen with Pastor Jim Morse officiating.
