Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lambeth Akines, 92, of Sophia, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at the GrayBrier.
Born August 19, 1923, in Davidson County, Mary was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ida Floyd Lambeth. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James B. Akines and 12 siblings. Mary was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Archdale.
She is survived by two sons, Johnnie Akines and wife, Betty, of Sophia, and Tommy Akines and wife, Jean, of Thomasville.
