Funeral services will be held Monday for WILLIAM C. HUMM, 82, who died at his North Market Street home Thursday. A native of Frederick County, he was the son of the late John William and Clara Mainhart Humm.

Former superintendent of the Railway Division of the Potomac Edison Company, he was a life member and Deacon and trustee of the First Baptist Church here and taught the TEL Bible Class. He was a member of the Frederick Rotary Club for more than 40 years and active in Lynch Lodge No. 163 A.F. A.M.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth A. Eyler; three sons, John William, Miami, Fl.; Thomas Warren, Frederick; and Richard P., Lewistown.; daughter, Mrs. Norman Balm, Frederick; brother, Claude F. Humm, Frederick; sister, Mrs. Guy Albaugh, Harmony; and a half-sister, Mrs. John Stickle, Springfield, Va.; and 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was graduated from Boys High School, Frederick in 1901. He operated his own surveying company here after retirement from Potomac Edison in 1946.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church; burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery; arrangements were by the M.R. Etchison and Son Funeral Home.
