Frances was born on August 9, 1919 in Waterloo, daughter of Harry and Ada (Wood) MacDonald.
She graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1937.
Frances married Dale E. Dickson May 12, 1945 in Waterloo. He died July 10, 2009.
She worked as a librarian in the Engineering Department Library for John Deere PEC for 20 years until retiring in 1976.
Frances was member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, the Berean Adult Bible Fellowship Class, and he Friendship Village Auxiliary. Her and her husband enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona from 1971-1997.
Frances was preceded in death by: her parents and sisters, Ivy Janet MacDonald and Grace Neil.
