Ross F Laver, 76, well known Moran farmer, died yesterday at the Allen County Hospital. He leaves 84 descendants.

Mr. Laver was born in Ohio, coming to Kansas with his parents when he was a boy. The family drove overland in a covered wagon and homesteaded near the Golden Valley church. He has lived in this vicinity since then.

He and his wife, who survives him, observed their 53rd wedding anniversary Aug 15.

He also leaves seven sons, Roy of the home, Harry of Elsmore, Fred and Harley of Iola, Ralph of Batna, Ia, Clyde of Savonburg and Edwin Laver, Moran

seven daughters Mrs Ruth Venable, Oklahoma City, Mrs Cora Seastedt, Elsmore, Mrs. Maggie Ludlum and Mrs. Mildred Romine, Moran, Mrs Lena Allen, Erie, Mrs. Ethel Barnett, Humboldt, Mrs Hazel Baughn, Chanute.

He is also survived by 47 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren

three sisters, Mrs Elmer Richards, Scottsville, Mich., Mrs Grace Wilke, Denver, Mrs Lela Brooks, Humboldt

five brothers, O C and Clifford, Elsmore, Audley of Indianola, Ia., Eugene of Iola, and Roy Laver, Harlan, Ia.

Services will be conducted by the Rev A S Whittemore at 2 p.m. Thursday in the La Harpe Methodist church. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery east of Humboldt.
